About Us
THOMPSONS LIVESTOCK TRANSPORT COWRA
Thompsons Livestock Transport Cowra Pty Ltd is a family owned and operated business located at Cowra in the Central West of New South Wales.
The business was started back in the 1940’s by Horace Walter (Jack) Thompson who along with his brother Ted carried livestock on tabletop trucks from properties around Cowra into selling centers such as Cowra, Gooloogong and Canowindra.
Jacks sons John and Barry moved into the business in the 60’s and the business went from strength to strength.
PD Mulligan opened up a meat works in the town in the 70’s and Thompsons being the local carrier thrived with the extra work from surrounding areas into the local abattoir.
Moving into the 21st century Thompson’s now covers most of New South Wales and interstate with a fleet of over Twenty trucks we are readily available to service your requirements.
Barry’s son Nick, the third generation Thompson is now involved in day to day management of both the livestock and bulk transport.
